Go Girl Africa

.

Go Girl Africa is a national not-for-profit organization that empowers girls to create and lead social change. We work with young women to design, lead, and fund and implement social change in their communities and neighborhoods.

GGA programmes can be offered anywhere girls are found, including youth centers, schools, churches/mosques and community centers. We seek to address the very heart of issues confronting girls – increasing confidence in their own voice and convictions, developing life-skills, and improving the ability to identify paths and resources within their communities that can contribute to positive change and break cycles for a lifetime.

We also run aprogramme called leading the way of peace implemented through the peace learning tree where we engage emerging youth leaders in their civic track in their communities.

To inspire voice, ability and problem solving capacity for girls to speak up, be decision makers, create visionary change and realize their full potential as a means to empower them for personal and economic transformation.

Shubey Nantege Luzinda
Is a creative thinker and a social entrepreneur with a passion for Human Rights; Sexual & Reproductive Health; Peace & Tolerance. Her personal mission is to give youth the tools needed to make positive change within their communities.

My Favorite quote is "I ignite, affirm and sustain the learning in others."(LOU RUSSELL) Because its concise and captures who i am.

ANGELLA KYAGERA


Legal Advisor

Angella is lawyer who is a fierce advocate for justice and is passionate about the girl child getting better opportunities and succeeding in whatever they put their minds to. She currently works with Kirunda and Wasige advocates. She is also a tax expert who loves the law, reading, writing, networking, travelling, and music. Angella is a former rotaractor who held different leadership positions up to district level. She is determined, dedicated, versatile, grounded and organized. She can also speak deutsch! She loves volunteering and community service, learning new languages and can speak French and Chinese. She is a Rotaractor and has served in various leadership positions.

JACQUELINE NAMUTAAWE


Membership & Welfare Executive

She is a population and health management professional. Her education background is in Demography and Public health- Health Management stream. She delights in mentoring and championing women and girls’ rights and is passionate about youth economic empowerment and works with Rotary Vijana Poa as a master trainer. Her previous experience includes working as a data manager in the district planning unit of Kalangala District Local Government. She is also a researcher and has authored two publications. She is a family planning and reproductive health champion and participated in a year long mentoring program with Leadership Management & Governance project(USAID) under East Africa Womens Mentoring Network. She loves volunteering and community service, learning new languages and can speak French and Chinese. She is a Rotaractor and has served in various leadership positions.
